Adrian advises expats in relation to business and taxation structures for those who are non-resident in the UK, but still have Corporate or property interests in the UK. He reviews Corporate structures, personal Directors taxes and high net worth clients, to confirm tax is being paid in the correct tax jurisdiction, as well as reviewing the best form of profit extraction.

Tim Hughes is an English solicitor. After practising law in England for 11 years, Tim moved to Lyon and registered as a lawyer in France in 2005. Tim advises both businesses and individuals in relation to French law. For individuals, his main areas of work are French property and succession law / Will planning. For businesses, Tim advises on setting up and operating in France, including employment law issues.

Tim has a French wife and three children

Tim is dedicated to developing and strengthening links between the UK and France and does so by heading up the Lyon Bar’s international group regarding relations with the UK. He is also the Honorary President of FIBA – the Franco-British International Business Association, based in Lyon.

Galina is a French qualified Chartered Accountant. Having worked for previous firms in France, she set up her own business in 2019 (GHG EXPERTISE & AUDIT). She has been working with Chedzoy Butterworth for a few years now and alongside Adrian, will provide help and advice to expats that move from the UK to France. She is based in Nice, in the South of France, but will deal with clients all over France.

Paul Roberts - Wealth Management and Financial Adviser to expats

Paul Roberts

Paul is from the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire and studied Business Economics at Cardiff University. He began his career with Chase Manhattan Investment Bank in London before emigrating to Barcelona following “Black Monday”. He built up and sold a successful teaching and translation business in the 1990’s and continued his financial career working in the Private Banking Sector in Spain. He completed his Series 7 US Stock Exchange Licensing exams whilst working for Merrill Lynch. Paul was a client of the Spectrum IFA Group before joining us as an Adviser in 2000.

Paul became a member of the European Financial Planning Association in 2014.
